Supporting families in making disciples
Following Jesus together isn’t something that starts after you’ve gotten your life figured out — it starts the moment Jesus calls you. At Vertical, we are committed to teaching our youth the Gospel and showing them what it looks like to follow Jesus in the context of the local church.
To that end, students in grades 6-12 gather together from 6:00-8:00 PM every Sunday and, during that time, they learn who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.
Study
The Bible is central to everything we do at Vertical Church, and our youth group is no exception! Every week, students study the Scriptures together and are taught to read and understand the Bible for themselves.
Eat
Each week, we enjoy dinner together as we catch up on the week and what God is doing in our lives. Dinner is provided for the students through the generosity of families in Vertical Church. Would you like to sign up to provide dinner for the youth?
Serve
The Vertical Youth are a vital part of the mission of the church. They participate in the regular Saturday Serveday events and also have the opportunity to go on a week-long mission trip each summer!
Pray
Prayer is an essential part of following Jesus. During every youth group gathering, students spend time in prayer for each other and are encouraged to pray for each other throughout each week.
Enjoy
Following Jesus in community is never boring, and we want our students to know that! Whenever we gather, we enjoy time together that is usually filled with laughter and a fun game.
